Is Pawth The Next Dogecoin?
Back in April/May I owned a coin called GrumpyCat that I thought could be the next Doge. It was a meme, but a particularly powerful one. Unfortunately, they ran into some legal trademark issues and the project got crushed over night. Unbeknownst to the team, GrumpyCat, is apparently a highly successful worldwide brand. Everyone knows the GrumpyCat picture…
But the team didn’t realize it was trademarked. The GrumpyCat lawyers caught wind of the project and basically said shut it down or get sued. And that was the last I heard about Grumpy…until recently. Apparently, the team has been working to relaunch under a new name. The token switch happened, and now they are back in business after a successful relaunch. And not only did they relaunch successfully, but they got rid of all trademarked imagery and now Kevin O’Leary (Mr. Wonderful) has openly said he holds some of the token. Let’s dig in to see if this coin could 1000x and be the next Doge….
The token is Pawth or Pawthereum. Yes, it seems kind of silly. However, Doge is silly too. Shiba as well. And those two coins have minted new billionaires.
What makes Pawth special? Every time you make a transaction, 2% of your transaction gets peeled off and sent to a charity wallet. Every so often the team will take the entire balance of the wallet and send the money to a shelter for cats. So every time someone buys or sells some Pawth, they are indirectly helping save cats.
People love cats. Especially people on the internet. For whatever reason, cats have become to unofficial logo for internet communities all of the world. It really wouldn’t shock me to see this token start to get some positive news coverage once they begin to make charity donations. The project could really catch fire if people within the crypto community take kindly to the idea. Not to mention, there are numerous “dog” coins but there are no cat coins as of yet. This is a perfect idea. I wouldn’t go dumping my entire portfolio into Pawth, but at rank #622 on CoinGecko, I think it is a worthwhile gamble with a very small allocation.
I purchased a small amount of Pawth because I think the idea of saving cats with a cryptocurrency could really draw alot of attention. Is the Pawth currency going to replace Bitcoin? No, obviously not. But it could definitely become a powerful meme within the crypto community. If Shiba can go up a few million percent, why cant Pawth go up 100% or more? Not to mention, Kevin O’Leary could be a nice ace in the hole to have on our side. Is he going to openly shill Pawth on TV? Who knows, but it would be pretty cool if he did. My bags are packed.
