API3 is trying to solve the data connectivity problem. How do you get data onto a blockchain in a safe, secure, and efficient manner? We talk about Chainlink at length on this platform so I thought it would be beneficial for my subscribers to hear from another project trying to solve the same issues.
API3 offers an “Airnode” to data providers. These Airnodes are lightweight and easy to run. In comparison, Chainlink nodes require fairly technical knowledge to both launch and maintain. API3 has a novel approach to the “oracle problem” by prioritizing the data provers.
Both API3, Chainlink, as well as other oracle providers all offer their own solutions to this complex problem. I am confident there is room for more than one solution but the market will eventually decide which solution is best.
